Our Mission

What began as a sporting camp in the early 1900’s on a remote and unspoiled lake is today incorporated as Kennebago Lake Camps, Inc. The mission of the organization is to preserve, to the extent practicable, the look and feel of the original place, and to conserve the pristine nature of its surroundings and wildlife.

We accomplish this mission by maintaining corporate ownership and control of the buildings, grounds, and facilities; by limiting ownership of the common stock to those families or individuals to which the corporation has issued occupancy rights to its camps; and by limiting issuance of occupancy rights to people who fully agree with the corporation’s mission, policies and regulations.
